The usage techniques of the male urinary catheter model
The male catheterization model is mainly used for training in urinary system care procedures. The key points of its use lie in standardizing the operation process and mastering the correct techniques. Before use, it is necessary to first check whether the model structure is complete, familiarize oneself with the direction of the urethra and its anatomical features, and clearly understand the positional relationship between the penis, urethral opening and bladder, in order to prepare for the operation.
During the operation, strict adherence to aseptic principles is necessary. Wear sterile gloves and disinfect the urethral opening before slowly inserting the urinary catheter. During the insertion process, keep the penis moderately elevated (about 60-90 degrees) to reduce urethral curvature and minimize resistance. When encountering slight resistance, appropriately adjust the angle to avoid forcefully pushing and prevent the simulation structure of "damaging the urethra".
When the urinary catheter is successfully inserted and urine (or simulated liquid) flows out, it should be further advanced to the appropriate depth, then water should be injected into the balloon to fix it, ensuring the stability of the catheter. During the operation, be gentle with the movements and maintain a uniform rhythm, simulating the real clinical environment.
